Don't Shoot the Dog!!

Vaccines are by no means, harmless or benign.  These drugs are full of toxic, even carcinogenic chemicals along with viruses and other contaminants.  Vaccines assault the immune system in a way and with substances that  it was not designed to handle.  Therefore, the body does not know how to properly address the infectious and toxic agents.  Combine that with multiple vaccinations at once, a young immune system, current immune issues such as allergies, arthritis, etc. or vaccines given with other procedures such as spay/neuter, dentals or other surgeries... you have a recipe for disaster.  In addition, a 3 lbs chihuahua puppy gets the same dose of vaccine as a 200 lbs adult mastiff.  Vaccine companies do not have to test to see how long a vaccine is effective for.  They label the vaccine as yearly and most vets go along with that because it is a convenient way to get patients in for yearly checkups and a great income builder.  Independent testing shows that vaccines are effective for the life of your pet.  The best defense against disease is excellent nutrition free from chemicals, clean, fresh, filtered, non fluorinated water, fresh air and sunshine and plenty of exercise.

To Neuter or Not to Neuter...That is the Question

Having a background in the conventional medical paradigm, I never thought too much about this question.  It was just a given.  If you love your dog and are a responsible person, you just did it.  Then I found Natural Dog Training  and I have a whole new perspective on the entire issue.  Not to mention the studies that show a much higher frequency of bone cancers in neutered dogs.

Introducing the "Renewal" natural dog training tool!  Renew your relationship with your dog today!

We have taken everything you love about using rope halters for horses and have come up with the "Renewal" lead/halter training tool.  Soft flexible yachting rope allows better communication without force and is gentle yet effective.  Pressure is only applied when you apply it and the release is as quick as you can give it.  That is why this tool is so effective!
Remember...  It is the pressure which motivates but the release educates!
The Renewal  converts between a simple slip collar and a safer more effective halter as needed.  If you look at the picture above,  you will notice the leash comes through the ring at the top of the dog's head, not underneath like other halters.  This innovative and unique designs allows you to apply pressure when needed without twisting the dog's neck in unnatural and potentially damaging directions.

The "Renewal" is one size fits all and will grow with your puppy into adulthood.

This is a training halter and  meant to be used only during training sessions and not to be left on the dog while unattended.
Patent pending

How did the the Renewal training lead/halter come about?

I was not satisfied any longer with other kinds of halters on the market for many reasons, so I decided to come up with a with new design.  The flat nylon webbing of other halters was not very effective with my new, very high energy, powerful, large breed puppies.  In addition, my 4 year old son was learning to work with dogs so I tried to have him use one of the more popular halter brands to walk our 11 year old Rottweiler who has had neck problems of and on over the years.   It had been a several years since she had been on a halter but I quickly saw the halter was painful for her and stopped using it immediately and sat down at the drawing table so to speak.

I am a former veterinary technician, dog trainer and
a professional horse trainer who uses natural horsemanship techniques and tools.   I know from years of experience how much better a smaller diameter, round soft yachting rope designed to utilize pressure points works on powerful animals compared to the flat nylon webbing halters normally used by the horse and dog industry.

Other halters are made of flat nylon which is relatively easy to push against and can easily rub the dog‘s nose raw when left on for long periods of time. They actually can cause many dogs to shut down and become introverted.  This is not calmness… This is an emotional withdrawal due to stress because of the constant pressure on pressure points since the nylon webbing halters must be fitted quite tightly.

Those halters work because of the twisting motion of the head and neck which disrupts the forward motion of the dog. The twisting motio
n can often times be very harsh and can easily lead to permanent injury.  They can only be used as a halter so if your dog‘s training progresses to where he does not need a halter, it sits around a collects dust.

Sometimes, when beginning training with a dog or in extra distracting situations, you need a little extra control.  When that happens, this slip lead converts easily into a very effective halter with a safer more effective design than other halters on the market.  It converts right back again into a traditional slip lead as your dog‘s training progresses.

Any halter should only be used as a temporary training aid and dogs should learn to walk politely on just a collar/slip lead at your side as training progresses.  Those other types of halters often teach the dog not
to pull on the halter but they don’t teach the dog not to pull… so often times you become dependent on the halter.

This lead is basically a hybrid between a halter and a collar.  It makes converting to a collar so much easier  because it uses pressure points and works as a combination of a halter and a collar without the choking of a collar and the painful twisting of a halter.  It is easy to switch back and forth between a collar and halter so training progresses at an accelerated rate.
